Review for Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

Fight Club (1996) is a novel written by Chuck Palahniuk. It was adapted as a film (1999) starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.


with such high ratings and an awesome film adaptation, i was hoping for a mind blowing read. unfortunately i was bored outta my skull.

reading through the first chapter, i was excited. i thought that i was gonna be pulled into the story like i was with the movie. the first 15 pages succeeded. after that, it was all downhill. page after page i found myself saying, "What the hell is going on?". not in the sense that i couldn't follow the story. i just couldn't get INTO it. i skimmed the hell outta this book before i gave up.

i've seen the movie.

i know how it ends.
