Review for Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Paranormalcy is a fantasy young adult novel written by Kiersten White. It is the first of a trilogy. It is followed by Supernaturally (2nd) and Endlessly (3rd).

i'm not actually sure when i first read this book but i just found out that it's a trilogy so i had to refresh my memory. and i'm glad i did. i gave this book 4 stars then and i'm sticking with that rating...although it's really 3.5 rounded up but who cares about the logistics?

Evie is a human who can see through a paranormal's glamour. VAMPIRES, FAIRES, AND WEREWOLVES OH MY! she works for IPCA, an organization that tries to control paranormals, which is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of. especially faires. no matter what book they're in, they're dicks. anywho, evie meets this water guy who can look like any person he wants. teen love takes root in these two likable but sometimes freakishly annoying characters. meanwhile paranormals are getting killed left and right and it seems like Evie is the key to unlocking the mystery.

let's get the boring stuff outta the way. the writing was great. Evie's POV was a little whiny towards the end but i loved being inside her head. i related to her through Kiersten White's words, so job well done. now onto better things. Lend. his very being is amazing. i found him so sexy and shy and strong and...yummy. i don't know why but he was just doing it for me. Evie was great. the villians were great. is it obvious that all i wanna talk about is Lend?

so excited to read the second book. Evie and Lend 4eva!!!!
