Review for Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Sweet Evil is (hopefully) the first novel in the Sweet Evil Trilogy written by Wendy Higgins.

this is gonna be real short. i really didn't think i was gonna like this book. Anna was so annoying in the beginning, i almost gave up a few times. the "pureness" of her was getting a little old and drawn out for me. but then she starts to find out who and what she is and i started liking her more and more. with every tough situation and decision she had to make, she became a more relatable heroine who you begin to root for.

Kaiden, aka Kai, aka douchebag loverboy for this novel grew on my too. it took a while, basically the whole book, but i started to see his struggle with his father and with his feelings for Anna. i like him, kinda wanna be with him too. i'm a sucker for a bad boy and the son of Lust has bad written all over him. i hope they can find a way to be together. looking forward to the next installment, hope it lives up to the first one!

I Love B.o.B

Strange Clouds is B.o.B's second studio album. His first CD is called Adventures of Bobby Ray. He also has various mixtapes.

every since B.o.B came out with his first mainstream song "Beautiful Girls", i have been in love with him. all of his singles after that, from his first cd, have been awesome. they were all different from each other. and they all had guest musicians on them. from haley williams from Paramore to T.I. to rivers cuomo from Weezer, it just doesn't end. he goes well with any one of those artists. to me he's the king of collaborations. but for all of my love for him, i did not listen to his first album song for song. i only knew the singles he released. so when his second cd "Strange Clouds" came out, i was determined to listen to the whole thing.

and it is amazing. i'm listening to his song "Ray Bans" right now. he does hip-hop well, he's a great rapper, and he has great hooks and melodies on his catchy songs. i just...love everything about his music. it made me interested in hearing his mixtapes. i wonder if he sounds the same or completely different. but i'm sure whatever he does, he stays true to himself. he just seems like the kind of person who does what he wants and puts it out there for the world to either love or hate it. and i'm a lover of it, definitely. by far my favorite song on his new cd is "Where Are You". if anyone sees this, please go get his cd and take the time to listen to every song. even if it's not your cup of tea, you gotta give him points for doing something unique.

Review for After Obsession by Carrie Jones and Steven E. Wedel

After Obsession is a paranormal young adult novel written by Carrie Jones and Steven E. Wedel.

i was hoping that i'd love this book since i loved her Need series but this one kinda fell flat for me. i didn't really like the female half of the paranormal duo for this novel. i thought aimee was annoying and had no depth to her. even with the loss of her mother, i did not sympathize for her not once. now alan on the other hand. i liked him a lot. i'm gonna take a guess here and assume that Carrie Jones wrote Aimee's chapters and Steven E. Wedel wrote Alan's. i favored the boy over the girl which i rarely do. he just... spoke to me. i definitely had sympathy for him. i believed that he was the one who would beat the evil spirit who is attacking everyone.

if you haven't read anything by Carrie Jones, don't read this one first. pop your cherry with Need and you won't be disappointed.

Review for Endure by Carrie Jones

Endure is the last book in the Need series written by Carrie Jones.

such a great ending to a beloved series that it feels like i've been reading for 10 years. i have been waiting forever to read this and now that i have, i'm a little disappointed that it's over. no more Zara. No more Issie (who i loved so much). No more Nick (not too upset about that because he was kind of a jerk to Zara). And last but not least, no more Astley (megalove for him).

i felt that this book should have been a bit longer. i was surprised how everything was rushed and pushed together. there was no pause between any of the drama so that i could take in what i was reading. it was just BAM! here's some drama, BAM! someone's life is in danger. i mean it's the last book. milk the story. spread it out, enhance it.

the love triangle was actually enjoyable in this series. i found myself liking both love interest (until this book when Nick was just annoying). zara wasn't a wimpy heroine victimized by puppy love. she kicked some ass and still found the time to get a man. that's a lot to accomplish when you're busy saving the world from murderous pixies. if you haven't read this series, it comes highly recommended.
